Tigers Make Life-Changing Impact

Each of us pursues significance in our own way at Clemson — through relationships, academics, athletics and service.

For Hannah Merchant ’25, a construction science and management major from Sumter, South Carolina, that looked like an internship working on the construction of the state-of-the-art Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center on Clemson’s main campus and serving on the executive committee for the annual Habitat for Humanity build during Homecoming Week.

I grew up doing Habitat with my granddad, and then to do it here is really cool. Then, seeking out leadership pushed me in a different direction and connected me with different people, like engineering students and architecture students. It just kind of helped me understand (all the different) people associated with construction. ”

We Are United Through Time-Honored Traditions

Our campus and our culture are steeped in history. We follow in the footsteps of Tigers who came before us, working hard and celebrating big — in Death Valley, on Bowman Field, inside Cooper Library and, sometimes, even on the dance floor.

Everyone talks about the Clemson Family … but it’s real. I can’t tell you a single time I felt like there was someone who couldn’t help me or that I couldn’t go up and introduce myself to.
